Unreal Engine Programmer

Location: Remote

We are looking for an Unreal Engine 4 programmer to work on a very exciting console project. If you are an experienced UE4 programmer, this is an excellent opportunity to join a small but well-funded game studio. It’s a great place to learn and hone your skills in performance profiling and optimizations.

If you have a passion for solving hard problems, analytic thinking, and strong problem-solving skills, this is the opportunity for you. We are a growing company and need to staff our team to help with our growth. We’re looking for talented UE4 programmers. It would be a huge plus if you have shipped a console title successfully.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Profile and optimize console games made with UE4.
  • Understand, apply, and recommend UE4 performance best practices for code and assets.
  • Suggest and implement innovative solutions to hard problems.
  • Quickly understand and dive into external partners’ codebases.
  • Prioritize, plan and manage the time of assigned tasks with oversight.
  • Communicate clearly with other team members with minimal external help.
  • Be vigilant for and report new problems, delays, and risks to the appropriate Lead/Director.
  • Seek support from higher-level management when required.

What You Need for this Position

  • Experience with Unreal Engine 4
  • Experience in performance profiling and optimization and/or console development
  • Strong problem-solving and analytic skills
  • Proficient in C++
  • Good communication, organization, and documentation skills

Bonus Skills and Experience

  • Avid video game enthusiast
  • Rendering Experience (D3D, OpenGL, PS4, XB1, other)
